Explore traffic and visitor journeys

Understand sources, campaigns, locations, devices, and the routes visitors take through your page.

Updated 22 August 2026

A visit matters most when you understand where it came from and what the person did after arriving. Insights connects available traffic context, page actions, and individual visit journeys so you can make that connection.

Open Insights and choose the page and time range you want to review.

Separate sources, referrers, and campaigns

Different traffic labels answer different questions.

DimensionWhat it helps explain
Source or traffic channelThe broad route that brought a visitor, such as social or search
ReferrerThe app, website, or referring host associated with the visit
CampaignA named campaign when campaign information was available
LocationThe available country, region, or city associated with the visit
DeviceThe available device, operating system, or browser context

Use a referrer to compare platforms. Use a campaign when you need to distinguish one promotion from another on the same platform.

Screenshot to add: Traffic, engagement, location, and device breakdowns

Capture the Insights analysis cards with fictional traffic from at least 2 identifiable sources, a named campaign, several clicked Blocks, and readable Location and Devices examples. Use plausible totals rather than real creator or visitor data.

Open: /app/insights

Framing: Show the complete analysis-card grid and enough surrounding metrics to understand the selected date range

Find the traffic that led somewhere useful

Start with the action that matters to the page. That may be a click on a booking link, a submitted enquiry, a new subscriber, or a downloaded resource.

Then work backwards:

  1. Identify the Block or capture source responsible for the outcome.
  2. Check which source or campaign brought relevant visitors.
  3. Compare the promise in that source with the destination on your page.
  4. Improve the first action when the visit does not match the expected result.

A source with fewer visitors can still be more useful if those visitors take the intended next step.

Filter the report on Creator

Creator lets you select a supported breakdown row and filter the whole report to that group.

Depending on the available data, you can narrow the view by a source, referrer, campaign, country, region, city, browser, device, clicked Block, capture path, or individual visit.

The active filters apply across the report, which makes it possible to ask a focused question such as: what did visitors from this campaign do after arriving?

Screenshot to add: Insights filtered to one campaign or traffic source

Capture the Insights report after choosing one fictional campaign or referrer. Show the active filter chip, the updated headline numbers, a relevant Block or capture result, and the control used to remove the filter.

Open: /app/insights

Framing: Include the active-filter row, the headline metrics, and the breakdown or outcome affected by the selected filter

Free still shows the report and the top available breakdown rows for its supported date ranges. Filtering and full breakdown lists are part of Creator.

Inspect Recent visits

Scroll to Recent visits to review individual recorded journeys.

A journey can show where the visitor arrived from, the available device or location context, the Blocks they opened, and whether they completed a capture action.

The names shown for anonymous journeys are presentation labels, not verified personal identities. Do not assume that a visit has become a Contact unless the visitor actually supplied an email through a supported submission.

Screenshot to add: Recent visits ledger and one expanded journey

Capture the Recent visits list with several fictional visit personas, source labels, outcomes, and timestamps. Open one visit to show its sequence from an Instagram or search arrival to a clicked Block and, if present, a capture.

Open: /app/insights#visits

Framing: Show the Recent visits ledger and the selected journey's detailed timeline or panel

Be careful with attribution gaps

Referrers, location, and device details are not guaranteed for every visit. Browser privacy settings, in-app browsers, blocked parameters, and unavailable upstream information can limit what Reroute can attribute.

An unattributed visit can still contain a useful click or capture. Start from the information the report actually shows rather than guessing the missing source.

Turn the report into one next action

Choose one practical adjustment, such as moving a frequently used Link higher, making a campaign destination more specific, or simplifying a Form that visitors open but do not finish.

Return to Understand your page Insights for metric definitions or Choose and arrange your Blocks when you are ready to improve the page.
