Start with one problem people already ask you about. A checklist, template, short guide, asset pack, or workshop worksheet is usually enough for a first offer.
Paid products are in private beta
Free Digital Products are available to everyone. Paid checkout is available only to invited Sellers during Reroute’s current private beta.
Validate the idea quickly
- Ask a few relevant people whether the resource would help.
- Show what it includes using a truthful example.
- Start with the smallest version someone can use.
Shopify’s market-validation guidance recommends testing demand before investing heavily.

During paid beta, the platform fee is 10% on Free or 5% on Creator, plus separate payment-processing fees. For a US$40 product, that means a US$4 or US$2 platform fee before processing costs and tax.
Publish and test
- Choose Digital Product from Add block.
- Name the result clearly and attach the correct files.
- Complete Product, Checkout, and Confirmation.
- Test the actual delivery or invited-beta checkout.
- Verify free requests in Audience or paid Orders in Sales.

Capture a fictional client-onboarding kit in the Digital Product editor with a specific title, 2 clearly named files, and either a Free state or an explicitly invited private-beta Paid state.
Open: /app/page
Framing: Include the complete product title, file list, and truthful Free or invited-beta Paid setting
Next action: Publish the smallest useful version and test it as a real visitor.
