Grow an email list with permission

Give people a specific reason to subscribe, collect clear consent, and plan a useful welcome.

Updated 22 August 2026

People should know what they are signing up for. An email address collected for a download or enquiry is not automatic permission to send marketing.

Make the invitation specific

Use a promise someone can evaluate:

  • Get one practical freelance pricing tip each month.
  • Hear first when Newcastle pottery workshops open.
  • Receive a short Friday recipe and occasional class updates.

Add one intentional signup

Choose either:

  1. Turn on the Subscribe button in Settings.
  2. Add an Email signup through Add block.

Both create a subscribed Contact. An ordinary enquiry, free Digital Product, or Email to unlock action can create a Contact without subscribing them.

Capture a fictional creator's public page with an Email signup titled Get one practical freelance pricing tip each month and a short explanation of what subscribers should expect.

Framing: Show the creator profile and complete Email signup Block with its promise and visitor action visible

Send only what people agreed to receive

Reroute records subscribers and Contacts. It is not currently a broadcast newsletter or multi-email marketing automation service. Use a separate email platform for regular campaigns, and import only the people who actually opted in.

Creator supports Audience CSV exports. Confirm subscription status in Contacts before moving anyone into another service.

Australia’s ACMA guidanceΒ  requires consent, clear sender identification, and an easy unsubscribe for commercial messages.

Next action: Add one signup that clearly states what subscribers receive and how often.
