Set up your page

Choose your URL, complete your profile, add and arrange Blocks, choose a design, and share your page.

Updated 22 August 2026

Use this guide for a detailed pass through the page editor. You will choose the public URL, complete the profile, add and arrange Blocks, choose the page design, test the visitor route, and copy the link.

Follow the setup checklist

The page editor tracks five setup tasks: choose your URL, introduce yourself, add a Block, choose your look, and share the page. Each task opens the product surface that owns the work. Progress is based on saved page data, so opening a tool without changing anything does not mark it complete.

You can hide the full checklist if you want more room. It moves into the compact Setup action until all five tasks are done.

Choose a URL people can remember

Select Choose URL in the checklist to open the page URL field in Settings. New pages start with a generated address, but the first setup task stays open until you save one deliberately.

Use a short, recognisable name that fits the identity visitors will see in the profile header. The saved address becomes reroute.bio/your-name.

Changing the URL later breaks old links, bookmarks, and QR codes. Choose it before you start sharing, then keep it stable when you can.

Build a recognisable profile

Select the profile header at the top of the editor.

Under Content, add the name visitors know you by. Add a short bio, a profile image, or both. The bio should help a new visitor understand your work rather than repeat the name above it.

Under Socials, add the profiles that confirm your identity or give people a useful way to follow you. Leave out accounts you no longer update. A shorter, current set is easier to scan.

Profile layout belongs with the header. Page-wide colours, fonts, and background belong in Design.

For a closer walkthrough of your name, image, bio, and social accounts, read Set up your profile and social links. If you want a reviewed badge, continue with Verify your page.

Add the page’s main action

Select Add block and choose a Block based on what the visitor should do.

Give every Block a title that describes the result of opening it. “View commission details” carries more information than “Learn more”.

For the complete library, media embeds, Collections, and ordering, read Choose and arrange your Blocks.

Complete required information

A newly added Block can stay incomplete while you work. The editor marks what is missing, and the public page leaves that Block out until it is ready.

There is no page-level Publish action. Once a Block is complete and its changes are saved, it is live.

Arrange the page around one priority

Drag Blocks into the order a visitor needs them. Identity comes first in the profile header. The most important action should then appear early enough that a phone visitor sees it without hunting.

Group supporting material beneath it. Text and section headings can explain a change in topic, but they should not turn the page into a menu of everything you have ever posted.

If 2 Blocks ask for the same action, keep the stronger one. A shorter page is easier to maintain and easier to understand.

Choose a coherent design

Open Design and adjust the parts that carry your identity:

  • Themes apply a coordinated starting look without replacing your content.
  • Header controls the profile presentation.
  • Wallpaper sets the page background.
  • Text controls the page and heading fonts.
  • Blocks set shape, fill, outline, and shadow.
  • Colours control the page and Block palette.
  • Stickers add optional decorative elements.

Preview while you work. A background can look good on its own and still make the text difficult to read. The public preview is the useful test.

Design your page explains the complete editor and which options belong to Creator.

Preview the visitor route

Open Preview and follow the page’s main route from beginning to end.

  1. Confirm the profile makes the page recognisable.
  2. Read the first screen without scrolling and identify the main action.
  3. Open that Block and complete the next step.
  4. Repeat at phone width if you first checked on a desktop.

If the route ends on another site, check that its page is available without an unexpected sign-in or broken mobile layout.

Share the page

Open Share to copy the public link, open the page, or create a QR code. Sharing records the last setup task. It does not change the page’s visibility because saved content is already live.

Use the same link anywhere your audience already looks for you: social profiles, video descriptions, email signatures, printed material, or a QR code at an event.

For QR downloads, social images, and safe URL changes, continue with Share your page and QR code.

If something is missing

A Block appears in the editor but not on the public page. Open it and complete the required field named on the Block card.

A recent edit is not visible. Confirm the save has finished, then reopen the public page. Preview shows the same content model visitors receive.

The page feels busy. Choose one primary action, move it up, and remove or group anything that competes with it.

The design is hard to read. Reduce background detail or increase contrast between the background, panels, buttons, and text.

Check your page

  • The public URL is short, recognisable, and ready to share.
  • A new visitor can identify you from the profile header.
  • The first important Block names the result of opening it.
  • The main route works from the public page on a phone.
  • The page remains legible across its background, panels, and buttons.

When the page should hear back from visitors, continue with Collect responses and build your audience. To see what visitors do after arriving, read Understand your page Insights. For practical advice on improving the complete visitor journey, read Make a link in bio that works.
